About the Company

Cortland Tech Hub, LLC is a new community resource focused on making technology practical, creative, and accessible for all ages.  We offer hands-on workshops, Makerspace access, and Virtual Reality experiences to help families, seniors, young adults, and hobbyists build real-world tech skills in a fun and supportive environment.  Basically, it’s a come-as-you-are makerspace with workshops to learn while having fun. 

These positions have been made available by the provisions of a grant to Cortland Tech Hub from the New York State Office of Community Renewal CDBG.  Low to moderate income persons as defined by HUD will be given first consideration in hiring.   Information can be obtained by asking a question via Ideas and Feedback and discussed at interview.

About the Role

Title:  Workshop Guide

Duties:  Help design projects and experiences at Cortland Tech Hub and lead participants through those projects.

Location:  Workshops conducted on-site at the Cortland Corset Building at 75 E. Court St.

Commitment and Hours

  • Part-time, flexible
  • Desire to create an inviting space where participants of any age or background are supported and encouraged.
  • Workshops can be scheduled for evenings and weekends.  
  • The commitment is flexible and designed around need in our community and your availability

Artisans, passionate DIYers, Filmmakers, Happy Nerds, and Educators with experience in topics listed below.
